Brian McGraw, CEO
As the co-founder and CEO of Intersect Healthcare, Brian advocates for hospitals, physicians and patients in government and commercial claim dispute resolution. He is a nationally recognized speaker, thought leader and sought-after expert in the area of Denial Management, Regulatory Audit Defense and Payer Compliance. Mr. McGraw has been involved in the design and development of integrative processes and workflow technology to support hospital revenue performance and payer compliance for over fifteen years. During this time he has worked with over one hundred forty hospital and many of the nation’s largest health care systems in the integration and implementation of inter-departmental workflows to improve managed care contracting, revenue capture, billing integrity and operational compliance. Prior to founding Intersect Healthcare and the Denial Research Group, Mr. McGraw was the Eastern U.S. Director for Thomson Healthcare’s Provider Services Division and Director of Professional Services for HCIA, a hospital benchmarking company.
Yomi Faparusi, MD, JD, PhD, Director of Medical Review & Research
Yomi joined Intersect Healthcare, Inc., in January 2010. Dr. Faparusi has direct responsibility for medical review and research, appeal services, physician relations, and legal advocacy. He received his Juris Doctorate in May 2009 from Widener University School of Law, graduating Cum Laude with an additional certification in Health Law. Prior to earning his Law Degree, Yomi received his PhD in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University in 2005and his Medical Degree from the University of Ibadan College of Medicine in 1997.
Denise Wilson, RN, MS, RRT Director, Client Education & Performance Improvement
Denise serves as the main line of training, communication and support for Intersect Healthcare clients and our dedicated team of clinical appeal specialists. Denise has extensive experience as a successful Medicare Appeal Expert and has peronally managed over 350 ALJ appeal cases with an astounding 95% success rate. Denise shares her knowledge and experience of appeal processes and the creation of successful appeals with IHI clients and any willing provider, absolutely free of charge. She is especially skilled in workflow design and performance improvement surrounding the claim dispute resolution process. Denise has more than twenty-five years experience in healthcare management, including four years as a Compliance Officer. She is a Registered Respiratory Therapist, Registered Nurse, and holds a Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Illinois, Springfield.
Wendy Towner, Senior Director, Implementation & System Support
Wendy is responsible for the successful delivery and implementation of VERACITY™ software solutions. Wendy’s unparalleled attention to detail, expertise in building customized workflows,and knowledge of the revenue cycle process have led to a 100% success rate in over seventy-five hospital implementations. Wendy joined IHI in May 2009 with over seventeen years of experience in the healthcare and managed care industries, ten years of Project Management experience and sixteen years of EDI claims experience. Prior to IHI, she held a number of management positions in various healthcare companies including a Chicago-based PPO Network, a national government healthcare audit contractor, a Third Party Administrator and a healthcare software company.
Mark McGraw, Director of Sales
Mark is responsible for establishing new client partnerships and channel partnerships at Intersect Healthcare. Mark joined Intersect Healthcare in July 2009 after fifteen award-winning years as a Senior Sales Executive with Time Warner Cable.
