Brian McGraw is the founder and President of Maryland-based Denial Research Group, which advocates for hospitals in government and commercial claim denial resolution. In 2006, Mr. McGraw co-founded Intersect Healthcare, Inc., a web-based revenue cycle, compliance and appeals management technology firm. He is a nationally recognized speaker and thought leader in the area of Denial Management, Regulatory Audit Defense and Payer Compliance. Mr. McGraw has been involved in the design and development of process and workflow technology to support hospital revenue performance and payer compliance for over fifteen years. During this time he has worked with over seventy hospitals and many of the nation’s largest health care systems in the integration and implementation of inter-departmental workflows to improve managed care contracting, revenue re-capture, billing integrity and operational compliance. Prior to founding Intersect Healthcare and the Denial Research Group, Mr. McGraw was the Eastern U.S. Director for Thomson Healthcare and Director of Professional Services for HCIA, a hospital benchmarking company.
